Full Booking Terms & Conditions
The Bringewood only allows children 12 years old or over to stay at The Bringewood
Confirmation of a booking by the Client is deemed acceptance of these terms.
In these terms of business, the expression 'Hotel' means the hotel operated by The Bringewood Limited-and 'Client' means the person, firm or company making a booking or staying at the Hotel. These terms apply to all bookings except to the extent that specific terms apply for a particular booking.
Prices
All published rates include VAT at the current rate. Accommodation rates are per room per night, Full English. In the event of circumstances beyond The Bringewood's control (e.g. increases in the standard rate of VAT), The Bringewood reserve the right to vary the prices quoted to an extent which reflects such changed circumstances. Minimum length of stay restrictions may apply to certain rates, as specified. Generally there are no single occupancy supplements at weekends however they will normally apply Monday to Thursday.
Availability
In the case of an act of God (strike, war, etc), the hotel will do its utmost to find an alternative accommodation in another hotel of equal or superior standard, but The Bringewood Ltd will not be held responsible if this is not possible.
Payment
Most major credit and debit cards are accepted. Full payment will be taken on checkout from The Bringewood. All additional sums are due for payment on presentation of the invoice at checkout. In the event of any query relating to the invoice, the Client must notify the Hotel within 14 days of the invoice date and the Client's obligation to pay all outstanding balances immediately will not be affected
Bookings
Bookings must be guaranteed by a major credit or debit card. Please allow at least 24 hours from the date of booking for a reservation to be processed.
Arrival and departure
Your bedroom will usually be available from 4pm on your specified day of arrival
and will be guaranteed for your first night only. On your day of departure
we would ask that you vacate your room by 11am (unless stated as part
of your booking e.g. Sunday 6pm departure) otherwise you may be subject to
a charge for an additional night's stay.
Cancellations, amendments and non-arrivals
When the booking is confirmed, a reservation confirmation will be supplied via email. This must be retained for access to the booking in the event of the need for cancellation and/or amendment.
Cancellations
- Should you have to cancel your booking, a charge may be made, calculated as a percentage of the total booking value, according to the scale highlighted below:

Hotel Guests cancellation
Booked rooms which have recieved a confirmation have a 72 hour cancellation policy. A cancellation over 72 hours no charge, cancellation under 72 hours full payment will be required. Full payment will be taken over the phone or the client will be invoiced for the full amount
- All cancellations should be confirmed in writing by the Client.
- Any costs incurred for a particular event, that otherwise would not have been incurred, will be charged in the event of cancellation unless The Bringewood is able to mitigate their loss.
- Cancellation charges will only be levied to the extent that the Hotel concerned fails to mitigate its loss in this respect, having used reasonable endeavours to do so. It is possible to take out insurance cover for cancellation charges incurred with certain types of conference.
Amendments: If you wish to make an amendment to your booking, you should immediately contact The Bringewood who will do everything they can to accommodate you. An administration charge may apply, up to a maximum of £10.00 GBP per booking. These charges apply to name changes and a change to party size and will be applied on each occasion you have cause to make an amendment. Any other changes (i.e. change of date) will incur cancellation charges on the original booking regardless of any subsequent booking that takes place.
Car parking
The Hotel does not accept responsibility for damage to, or for theft from, or for theft of vehicles parked on Hotel premises.
Insurance
Clients are recommended to have insurance to cover cancellation, curtailment, and loss of baggage, personal effects and money.
Hotel Events
Please be aware that at certain times throughout the year some of our hotels
may host weddings, events and parties, which you may feel, would be an intrusion
on your break. Please contact the individual hotel for further information
Smoking
For the comfort of staff and guests The Bringewood has a non - smoking policy
Disabled guest rooms
The Bringewood offers modified facilities for use by disabled guests. As needs do vary, guests are requested to check with The Bringewood.
Children
Children under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult to ensure that the children's behaviour is appropriate for other guests within the Hotel.
Behaviour
The Hotel reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of noise or behaviour of Clients, guests or representatives, who must take all steps for corrective action as requested by the Hotel. In the event of failure to comply with management requests, the Hotel may terminate the booking or stop any event immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation. If the clients cause any damages to The Bringewood, the client who made the booking will be directly responsible for any expenses to repair,clean or renew any items.
Discrimination
It is the policy of the hotel not to discriminate on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, creed, sex, marital status, age, ethnic origin or disability. Clients, their employees, guests and all sub-contractors engaged by or on behalf of the Client are expected to adhere to this policy and the Hotel may, without incurring any liability to the Client, remove from the Hotel any person or persons offending against this policy.
External purchases
No wines, spirits, beers or food may be brought into the The Bringewood or the grounds by Clients, their guests or representatives for consumption or sale on the premises.
Comments and complaints
Any comment or complaint regarding the stay should be made in writing within 28 days to Customer Relations, The Bringewood, Burrington, Ludlow, Shropshire. SY8 2HT
Statutory requirements
The Hotel is subject to statutory controls, including those relating to fire, licensing, entertainment, health, hygiene and safety. These must be strictly observed by Clients, their guests and representatives.
Liability
Other than for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Hotel, the Hotel's liability to the Client is limited to the price of the booking. Unless the Hotel is liable under the above clause, the Client indemnifies the Hotel from and against any and all liability and any claims, proceedings or damages resulting or arising from the booking, event or function, the Client, guests or any outside contractors of the Client. The Hotel will not be liable for failure to perform to the extent that the failure is caused by any factor beyond its reasonable control. The Hotel does not accept responsibility whatsoever for damage to, or theft from, or theft of, vehicles parked on the hotel premises. Clients are responsible for any damage caused to the allocated rooms, furnishings, utensils and equipment in them by any act, omission, default or neglect of the Clients, their guests or sub-contractors and will pay to the Hotel on demand the amount required to make good or remedy any such damage.
Data protection
The information provided by the Client may be processed by The Bringewood for the purposes it has notified to the Information Commissioner. By confirming the booking, the Client consents to this processing of the information.
Website information
The Bringewood Hotel Ludlow reserves the right to cancel, amend or vary the arrangements featured in the site without notice.
